¶ Dome
The Orbital Station allows you to add a Dome to protect any of your planets. The dome gives defense bonus to your spaceships on this planet for at least 6 hours, and also absorbs some of the bombardment damage.
¶ Dome duration
The Dome can be installed on your Orbital Station in the "Dome" or "Planets" tabs, its cost is 1 Solarium or X Energy (depending on the type of planet), and the duration is from 6 to 21 hours of protection (depending on the level of the "Dome" skill) tab Skills on Orbital Statilon, which increases the Dome's duration by 9 minutes per 100 levels learned).
The dome is also set automatically for 1 hour at the moment of arrival of the enemy fleet under the following conditions:
- Requires Planetary structure type "Shield Generator";
- Requires energy at the planet;
- For automatic use, be sure to check the box.
¶ Dome cost
The cost is calculated using the formula:
100k energy * mineral coefficient
Example:
Let's take Torium for 3 mines (100k*0.7) = 70000 energy to set the automatic dome.
¶ Dome mechanics
Characteristics of the Space Dome:
- Fleet protection +100%
- Buildings protection +100%
The mechanics of the space dome:
- When activated, the dome absorbs some of the enemy's damage;
- The calculation is based on the formula 1 unit damage = 1 bonus protection.
For this action, the Dome consumes energy from the planet. The ratio is 1 unit of energy per 1 unit of bonus defense. If there is not enough energy, it will increase the defense by the amount that it is enough for and will no longer give the bonus.
The Power Plant building protects some of the energy from being robbed. Therefore, it allows the Dome to give the bonus for an additional time, even if the attacker has robbed the planet.
Example:
- Attack with ships like "Valkyrie" 100k;
- In the absence of a dome on the planet, 100k damage will be absorbed by the "planetary structures";
- With an active dome and enough energy on the planet, the damage is distributed in this format:
(50k damage absorbed/absorbed by the dome and 50k damage dealt to "planetary structures"); - In the absence of 50k energy on the planet, the energy that is available will be written off, the rest of the damage will be absorbed by the "planetary structures".
